
Veroniki Korakidou was born in Athens in 1975. She is a graduate of the Department of Communication, Media and Culture of Panteion University and holds a postgraduate Diploma in Human Communication and Cultural Studies from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She also holds a Masters Degree in Audiovisual Management and Multimedia Production by Haute École Groupe “ICHEC – ISC Saint-Louis – ISFSC” (Brussels). She has longstanding experience as a researcher and consultant in the management of European Programs for the development of audiovisual and multimedia projects, the organization of visual art exhibitions, the design and implementation of educational programs, as well as the editing of electronic and printed publications. She is a certified adult trainer from the National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP). From 2014 to 2016 she was a visiting lecturer at the Graphic Design Department of the TEI of Athens, teaching Visual Communication and Semiotics in Graphic Design. Since 2016 she is a member of Associate Educational Staff at the Hellenic Open University for the subject “History of Art and Science of Light” of the Postgraduate Program of Studies “Lighting Design” as a thesis supervisor. Her doctoral thesis deals with the language of abstract animation and is currently in the process of completion. She has participated in numerous major international electronic art exhibitions and symposiums with original papers and artistic work (ISEA, Consciousness Reframed, Amber, Thessaloniki Biennale etc) and has published in some of the most important international scientific journals on art, science and visual communication (Leonardo, Technoetic Arts, Hypen, etc).
