
Christos Grigoropoulos has a degree in Electrical Engineering. Successfully completed the Postgraduate diploma in “Lighting Design”, E.A.P. (2017). The title of his diploma thesis was ” Sustainability in lighting design and luminaires”. In the context of the postgraduate course, he published a paper (2020) with the title “Estimating the benefits of increasing the recycling rate of lamps from the domestic sector: Methodology, opportunities and case study”. Now he is currently a Ph.D. candidate of EAP. The doctoral research investigates the creation of a prognostic model that will calculate the environmental impact, but also the materials that can be recovered from a lighting project and the waste that eventually ends to landfill in the environment. Finally, the environmental classification of the project is based on the above results.
